Their son told me from the beginning that he was NOT a fan of pictures, but by the end of the session, he was begging me to photograph him jumping down from a tree and running across the yard.
I've known this family for a while, but hadn't seen them in some time; I couldn't believe how much their children had grown! The best part was that the parents are so fun and easygoing, and they didn't hesitate to be silly and play with their children.
Luckily, we had the gorgeous backdrop of the Potomac River as a playground. The shoot took place at their parents' house, which made this session truly special. They now have photographs of their children playing and laughing and swinging from trees in a treasured place.
They were a delight to photograph, and it was so nice getting to spend time with friends.
