There are so many amazing locations to have a photo shoot in the DC Metro area! Whether you are hoping for a picture by the water, a forest trail, or an urban enviornment, let's find the perfect fit for you photography session! Below are some places I've held photo shoots in the past, followed by some other suggestions.
But these are only a sampling of what's available. I encourage you to do your own research. I'm always up for exploring new areas!
48 Fields is such a beautiful location! If you like rustic barn backdrops and large fields, this is the place for you!
Bolivar Heights, West Virginia
Bolivar Heights is by far one of my favorite places to have a photography shoot. It offers stunning mountain backdrops, beautiful fields, and the sun streaming through the trees at sunset.
Sleeter Lake (left) is a beautiful location with sparkling waters and rolling mountains. Perfect for a sunset shoot! Franklin Park (right) has an adorable lake at the bottom, and a stunning hilltop field.
Franklin Park Purcellville, VA
Round Hill, VA
Downtown Leesburg, Virginia
Downtown Leesburg offers the best of both worlds - beautiful gardens and adorable urban streets. It's a great location for Senior Pictures and Engagement photo shoots!
Manassas Battlefield Park
There are two fantastic locations at Manassas Battlefield. One provides a stone bridge and forest trails. The other, a two minute drive down the road, has a rustic stone house and a hill-top field.
This location is available with permission from a friend of mine. Her incredible property has a white barn, open field, and mountanous backdrop. It is by far one of my favorites!
Harper's Ferry is a fun place for a photo shoot due to it's historic streets and riverside location. It's best visited in the spring and summer!
Town of Lovettsville
I live in Lovettsville, so I'm partial to the adorable town. The town green has a German-style pavillion. Nearby is park space with an open field, and the trees in bloom at the elementary school make for the perfect backdrop!
