Your Family Holiday Mini-Session
I am excited to work with you and your loved ones during this Holiday Mini-Session! I'll take both traditional shots and lifestyle photographs which capture the true essence of your family. I use my understanding of my equipment and natural light to create images you will love! Here are a few tips to help you prepare for your session with me:
Location: The Mini-Sessions this year are at Stoneleigh Golf and Country Club in Round Hill, Virginia on Saturday, October 3, 2020. You will park in the main parking lot near the restaurant and tennis courts. Walk towards the barn, and keep going. You'll find me behind the barn by the beautiful stone wall in the picture above! Should it rain, we will hold the sessions inside the barn.
Time: Please arrive fifteen minutes before your scheduled time. This gives you a chance to see what will happen during the session and to ask me any questions before we begin. Please remember - I am holding multiple sessions in a row on this day. If you are late, I cannot guarantee you will receive the full fifteen minutes, as I must honor the time of everyone else.
Length of Session: Mini-Sessions last fifteen minutes - just enough time to get the images you want!
What To Wear: Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are, but should also be something in which you feel stunning. I do not recommend matching, but rather coordinating. As this is a holiday-themed session, be as festive as you wish! I am happy to consult you directly on wardrobe Just let me know.
Props: You'll be sitting on a soft blanket, with red, white, and green pillows behind you. You'll see an adorable wooden wagon filled with presents, and a crate with firewood. Expect lanterns, white lights, and a gorgeous backdrop.
Your Children: Remember that children are not usually fond of being told to pose or smile. It is best if we just give the children a minute to relax and try to capture their natural self. To get the most out of your session, make sure that your little one has rested and has had adequate snacks and water. Prepare the child for the session by letting them know that a friend will be taking some photos of them; it's best not to surprise them.
